The JEM Education PLLA-SCA course is designed for experienced injectors who want to expand their skills in using Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA) for skin collagen activation (SCA) treatments. This comprehensive course covers everything you need to know, from patient evaluation and preparation to mastering the injection techniques for the most common facial areas treated with PLLA. You will learn the science behind PLLA-SCA, including how aging impacts collagen and elastin production, as well as the contraindications and potential complications such as ischemia and nodule formation. The hands-on component of the course includes injecting multiple areas on live models, giving you the chance to refine your skills and gain real-world experience. Tools, supplies, and post-procedure care instructions will also be covered, ensuring you’re fully prepared to integrate PLLA-SCA into your practice. After completing the course, you will earn 8 CE hours and have the opportunity to shadow one of our seasoned nurse injectors at a location that best fits your needs. Product is not provided for this course, and a minimum of two years of injecting experience is required to attend.

This comprehensive course covers patient selection, facial anatomy, various PDO thread types (smooth, barbed, twist), and complication management. Participants will learn to perform PDO thread lifts in areas including the cheek vector, jawline, perioral lines, nasolabial folds, neck, and eyebrows. Live models are provided for hands-on practice during the training. To engage in the hands-on component, attendees must hold a Compact Nursing License or a Utah license (PA, NP, or MD). Those unable to obtain a Utah license are welcome to attend as observers. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon finishing the course. CE/CME credits are not currently offered.

This course covers basic facial anatomy, different thread types, and vector patterns tailored to the unique needs of individual models. Participants will also learn safety protocols, current Illinois laws related to thread lifting, and how to choose the appropriate thread for each treatment area. During the course, you will gain practical, hands-on experience, as live models are used for injections. You may be asked to recruit your own models, or Kiss Aesthetics can provide models upon request. All necessary products and materials will be provided, along with lunch and a certificate of completion. This course is intended for medical professionals only (RN, APN, PA, DO, MD, DDS), and proof of active licensure is required upon registration.
