This comprehensive course covers both botulinum toxins (such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®) and dermal fillers (including Juvederm®, Restylane®, Versa®, and RHA®). The day begins with a lecture that reviews the history and science behind neurotoxins and fillers, facial anatomy relevant to aesthetic injections, proper product selection, injection techniques, and patient consultation. It also addresses contraindications, safety considerations, and how to manage complications. This foundational knowledge is essential for providers entering the aesthetic space. In the afternoon, participants take part in a hands-on training session where they practice injections under the supervision of experienced instructors. This allows attendees to build confidence and apply what they’ve learned in a clinical setting. The course is open to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and dentists. It is suitable for beginners with no prior injection experience and includes the opportunity to earn CME credits.
The Starter Aesthetic Practitioner Certification course at Derma Institute is designed for professionals looking to enter the field of medical aesthetics with a solid foundation. This comprehensive program covers essential aesthetic treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, and basic skin rejuvenation techniques. Over the course of several days, you will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing you to confidently perform a variety of treatments in a clinical setting. The course will cover the fundamental principles of aesthetic procedures, including facial anatomy, patient assessment, injection techniques, and treatment planning. You will receive step-by-step training on the proper use of Botox and dermal fillers, including how to address common concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss. The hands-on portion of the course will give you the opportunity to practice these techniques on live models, ensuring you are well-prepared to implement them in your practice. All products and models will be provided, and upon completion, you will receive a certification to demonstrate your expertise in basic aesthetic treatments.

The Foundational Injectables Program is a 5-day intensive training held at state-of-the-art facilities in Orange County, CA or Atlanta, GA. Designed for healthcare providers beginning their aesthetic careers, this program combines comprehensive education with hands-on practice in neurotoxin and dermal filler injections. Participants will build core skills in midface/lip filler and neurotoxin techniques while developing consultation abilities, including patient assessment and communication. The curriculum emphasizes facial anatomy, safety protocols, and complication prevention. All models are provided and prescreened by Allergan Aesthetics, with products supplied for training purposes only. The program features a 3:1 trainee-to-instructor ratio during clinical workshops (max 30 participants total), ensuring personalized feedback. Prerequisites include an active injection license for the program state and completion of virtual pre-work. While no CME credits are offered, participants receive a certificate upon passing final assessments.

The Aesthetic Ultrasound Training is designed for aesthetic medicine providers who want to integrate ultrasound into their injectable practice—or sharpen their existing skills—with more precision and safety. You’ll learn how to interpret live imaging, visualize facial anatomy in real time, identify critical structures, and apply those insights to planning and executing safer, more accurate injections. The training covers both foundational concepts and advanced applications, helping you move from theory to confident hands-on execution. This course is ideal for physicians, nurse injectors, physician assistants, and experienced aesthetic practitioners who already perform injectables or are preparing to do so. No prior ultrasound experience is strictly required, though familiarity with facial anatomy and injectables will help you get more out of the day. Pre-training didactic materials (sent via email) set the stage for the in-person session. The in-person component is highly hands-on: expect 6–7 hours of instruction in a small group (limited to 6 participants) to ensure individualized guidance. Live imaging will be used, and you’ll have opportunities to scan real anatomy under supervision. All necessary materials and supplies—such as safety protocols, consent forms, and a workbook for reference—are provided at the start of class. However, injectable products used during training are not included and must be purchased separately (though a discounted rate is available via the academy). Upon successful completion, you’ll earn CE credits (continuing education) to support your professional development. This training will leave you with both the confidence and competence to incorporate ultrasound into your aesthetic practice, elevating safety, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
