Syringe Academy

The Aesthetic Apprenticeship Program is a beginner-level program designed for licensed physicians (MD/DO), PAs, NPs, and RNs who want to build confidence and hands-on skills in aesthetic medicine.  Participants will observe a variety of cosmetic procedures during a 24-hour shadowing experience and receive one-on-one training focused on neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and advanced treatments like PDO threads, Sculptra, Kybella, and lasers.  The flexible schedule allows you to choose full 8-hour days or 4-hour sessions, tailoring the experience to your learning goals. The hands-on portion emphasizes injectable techniques, including cannula use, with optional add-ons for specialized procedures.  Live models are included, and all necessary materials (except injectable products, which must be purchased separately) are provided.  Class sizes are kept small for personalized attention. A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included, and attendees should wear scrubs and closed-toed shoes. Prerequisites include current licensure and certification from an accredited aesthetic program. Upon completion, you’ll gain real-world skills and ongoing mentorship.  CME credit is available through IAPAM’s accredited certification options, including live symposiums or on-demand courses.

Training is delivered in intensive 4-hour blocks, allowing you to customize your learning by selecting specific modalities.  For injectable sessions, you’ll need to bring 1-2 pre-approved models (secured by you) and purchase products separately through The Syringe Academy at discounted rates.  All other materials, including consent forms and safety protocols, are provided. Prerequisites include current licensure and prior certification from an accredited aesthetic program.  Upon completion, you’ll gain practical skills, increased confidence, and ongoing mentorship. CME credit is available through IAPAM’s accredited programs, including live symposiums and on-demand options. This program is ideal for providers seeking expert-led, focused training with an emphasis on safety, technique, and real-world application. 

The Syringe Academy's Quick Shot courses provide experienced injectors with focused, advanced training in specialized aesthetic procedures.  These intensive 2-3 hour sessions are designed for licensed medical professionals (MD/DO, PA, NP, RN) with 1-2 years of injection experience who wish to refine their techniques and expand their treatment offerings.  Participants must hold an active Arizona medical license, valid malpractice insurance, and prior certification from an accredited aesthetic program. Each course concentrates on high-demand treatments such as cannula techniques for dermal fillers, advanced neuromodulator applications (including Tox Lift and Masseter Tox), PDO threads, tear trough injections, and specialized procedures like Renuva and NavaClick administration.  The training features a premium 1:1 or 1:2 instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention and hands-on practice with expert guidance. All necessary training materials, including consent forms and safety protocols, are provided. Participants purchase FDA-approved products at discounted rates through The Syringe Academy.  The academy maintains partnerships with IAPAM, offering participants potential pathways to earn CME credits through accredited certification programs. Upon completion, practitioners gain advanced technical skills, increased confidence in performing specialized treatments, and access to ongoing professional support.  These concise yet comprehensive sessions allow experienced injectors to enhance their practice efficiently while staying current with evolving techniques and technologies in aesthetic medicine.

The Patient Care Coordinator Course is a specialized training program designed for administrative staff, medical assistants, and support team members seeking to enhance their skills in aesthetic practice settings.  Under the guidance of Janet Fales, a 17-year industry expert, participants will develop comprehensive patient coordination skills including advanced communication techniques, consultation best practices, treatment package development, and financial program navigation.  The course covers essential topics from setting realistic patient expectations to implementing effective follow-up systems and analyzing performance metrics. The intensive 4-6 hour session maintains an exclusive class size of six students or fewer, ensuring personalized attention and hands-on learning opportunities.  While no medical license is required for this non-clinical training, it is ideally suited for team members working in practices with MD/DO, PA, NP, or RN providers.  Participants will gain practical tools to immediately improve patient interactions, boost practice retention rates, and increase treatment conversion percentages. Through the academy's partnership with IAPAM, this training may contribute to professional development requirements, though it does not offer direct CME credits. The program focuses exclusively on operational excellence rather than clinical skills, making it particularly valuable for staff members who interface directly with patients but do not perform treatments. Upon completion, participants will possess enhanced confidence and concrete skills to elevate their practice's patient experience and contribute meaningfully to business growth. 

The Aesthetic Assistant Training Program is a comprehensive 6-hour course designed specifically for Certified Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses seeking to develop essential skills for supporting aesthetic providers in clinical settings.  Participants will gain hands-on experience in critical clinical support tasks including sterile technique, patient consent procedures, before-and-after photography, and preparation of neuromodulators and dermal fillers.  The training covers the complete aesthetic appointment workflow from patient preparation through post-treatment care instructions and home care product recommendations. The program is limited to six students per session, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunity for practical skill development in an intimate learning environment.  While no injectable products are administered during this training, participants will work with needles and cannulas to develop proper handling techniques.  Prerequisites include current certification as a Medical Assistant or LPN license. Though this course does not offer direct CME credits, it provides foundational knowledge that complements the IAPAM certification programs available through The Syringe Academy's partnership.  Successful completion prepares clinical support staff to confidently assist with aesthetic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. Participants will leave with practical skills to immediately enhance their clinical support capabilities, along with resources for continued professional development in the fast-growing field of medical aesthetics.  This training is ideal for those new to aesthetic medicine or experienced assistants seeking to standardize and refine their clinical support skills.

The Aesthetic Ultrasound Training is designed for aesthetic medicine providers who want to integrate ultrasound into their injectable practice—or sharpen their existing skills—with more precision and safety. You’ll learn how to interpret live imaging, visualize facial anatomy in real time, identify critical structures, and apply those insights to planning and executing safer, more accurate injections.  The training covers both foundational concepts and advanced applications, helping you move from theory to confident hands-on execution. This course is ideal for physicians, nurse injectors, physician assistants, and experienced aesthetic practitioners who already perform injectables or are preparing to do so.  No prior ultrasound experience is strictly required, though familiarity with facial anatomy and injectables will help you get more out of the day.  Pre-training didactic materials (sent via email) set the stage for the in-person session. The in-person component is highly hands-on: expect 6–7 hours of instruction in a small group (limited to 6 participants) to ensure individualized guidance.  Live imaging will be used, and you’ll have opportunities to scan real anatomy under supervision. All necessary materials and supplies—such as safety protocols, consent forms, and a workbook for reference—are provided at the start of class.  However, injectable products used during training are not included and must be purchased separately (though a discounted rate is available via the academy). Upon successful completion, you’ll earn CE credits (continuing education) to support your professional development. This training will leave you with both the confidence and competence to incorporate ultrasound into your aesthetic practice, elevating safety, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
